Cellulitis
Description
A common bacterial skin infection that causes redness, swelling, and pain. Usually caused by Streptococcus or Staphylococcus bacteria entering through a break in the skin.
Carbohydrate Dependency: Mixed deep-tissue infections like cellulitis are often carbohydrate-independent, with pathogens relying on anaerobic respiration and peptide metabolism. Largely unaffected by dietary carbohydrate restriction.
