Legionnaires' Disease

Description

A severe form of pneumonia caused by Legionella bacteria, typically found in water systems. Symptoms include high fever, cough, muscle aches, and headaches.

Carbohydrate Dependency: Legionella pneumophila is partially carbohydrate-dependent, using glucose when available but can switch to amino acids or fatty acids during glucose scarcity. Shows moderate improvement under low-carb metabolic states.
