Clostridioides difficile Infection

Description

An intestinal infection caused by Clostridioides difficile bacteria, often occurring after antibiotic use. Causes severe diarrhea and colitis.

Carbohydrate Dependency: Clostridioides difficile is carbohydrate-dependent, using glucose metabolism for growth and toxin production. Weakens significantly during fasting or ketogenic/carnivore diets when glucose is restricted.
