Salmonellosis

Description

A food poisoning caused by Salmonella bacteria, typically from contaminated food. Symptoms include diarrhea, fever, abdominal cramps, and vomiting.

Carbohydrate Dependency: Salmonella enterica is carbohydrate-dependent, relying on glucose metabolism for growth and pathogenicity. Weakens significantly during fasting or ketogenic/carnivore diets when glucose is restricted.
